The Collection
The Foundation’s Collection brings together artworks, practices, and ideas that speak to the complexity and richness of global majority perspectives. Rather than being encyclopaedic, the collection is shaped by an evolving curatorial vision – one that centres artistic practices across generations, geographies, and mediums.
The collection exists not only to preserve important cultural expressions, but to hold space for dialogue – between artists, artworks, and audiences. Each acquisition is made through thoughtful consultation with artists, curators, gallerists, and peers, and often marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship. Many works in the collection become touchstones for long-term projects, commissions, and collaborations.
The collection is continuously evolving – shaped by research, relationships, and ongoing curatorial priorities. Works are regularly loaned to institutions and periodically exhibited at our different venues through thematic displays. Commissioned writing, research, and programming are developed around the collection – recognising it not as static inventory, but as a living resource for reflection, connection, and care.
